Fuel surcharge eliminated
On Saturday, December 1, BC Ferries' ticket purchase slips show one less line-item as fuel surcharges have been dropped. The two per cent fuel surcharge was removed as of Friday, November 30, on major and minor routes, including the Horseshoe Bay to Snug Cove, Bowen Island, run.
“The recent decrease in the cost of fuel allows us to eliminate the fuel surcharges, which is great news for holiday travellers,” said Mike Corrigan, BC Ferries’ president and CEO about the company's decision made on Wednesday. “We are pleased to be able to reduce the cost of ferry travel for our customers as every bit helps.”
