A man wearing a blanket and carrying a hockey stick was captured on a security camera entering backyards in an Oak Bay neighbourhood early last Saturday.
Oak Bay police said the man was seen roaming the Deal Street and Linkleas Avenue area between 2:45 and 5:30 a.m.
Extra patrols were made after the report was received but the man was not located, police said.
The following day about 4 p.m., a man was seen on a home-security system at an Upper Terrace home walking to the back of the property, looking in windows and taking pictures with a cellphone.
Police said the man didn’t try to get inside the home.
He is described as white and about five-foot-10 with a slim build and brown hair greying at the sides, and was wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
