For the 5,000-odd people of Bowen Island-Lions Bay community health service area, BCCDC data shows that for the week of June 15 to June 21:

  • The average daily case positivity rate was three cases per 100,000 (last week this number was five, and the week before that it was three.) Keep in mind, this is a rate, not an actual number. Neighbouring community health service areas have daily average case rates of one or zero.
  • 84 per cent of people 12 and over have at least one vaccine dose (last week this number was 80);
  • 86 per cent of people 18 and over have at least one vaccine dose (last week this number was 82);
  • 91 per cent of people 50 and over have at least one vaccine dose (last week this  number was 86).

It’s of note that last weekend there was a Bowen vaccine clinic and the island saw jumps in percentage of first doses in each of the three age thresholds.

There aren't currently any Bowen vaccination clinics listed on the Vancouver Coastal Health website.
