Vancouver Coastal Health is inviting Bowen Island seniors 70 and over who haven't yet had their first COVID-19 vaccine dose to drop in to the April 10 clinic at Bowen Island Community School to receive a jab.

The clinic runs 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 10.

For this clinic only, seniors will not need an appointment (it's okay if they already have an appointment). They're asked to bring ID and their personal health number.

Approximately 75 per cent of coastal rural seniors are vaccinated, said VCH in a statement.

Indigenous people 18 and over are too now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and letters have been sent to people considered extremely medically vulnerable, inviting them to book a vaccine appointment.

Keep an eye on the Vancouver Coastal Health website for updates on eligibility and clinic availability.
