Burnaby's Michael Bublé wins fifth Grammy Award

Burnaby singer Michael Bublé has won his fifth career Grammy Award.

Michael Bublé has another golden record player to add to his collection. 

The Burnaby singer, recently nominated for two Juno Awards, was a winner at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 5), taking home Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Higher. 

Over his career, Bublé has received 12 nominations and, including this weekend's nod, has won five times. 

"Huge thank-you to the incredible team who created this record with me," he wrote on spcial media after earning the Grammy. 

"I honestly feel this is the best album I’ve ever made, making the recognition from the academy members that much more meaningful.

"I feel honoured to have been nominated alongside artists I admire and respect so deeply. Thank-you, it's a dream come true!" 

Higher is the 11th studio album of Bublé's career. It was released on March 25, 2022, by Reprise Records in the U.S.

It's the fourth time the Canadian crooner has won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

His other albums that earned the same recognition include To Be Loved (2014), Crazy Love (2011) and Call Me Irresponsible (2008).
