College, SkyTrain, UBC bathroom flasher pleads guilty

In April 2022, Vancouver police released two images of a man suspect of multiple flashing incidents.

A man charged in connection a series of indecent exposures across the Lower Mainland has pleaded guilty and dates will soon be set for sentencing.

Christopher Kumar Ram, 36, had seven charges of committing an indecent act in a public place. He has pleaded guilty to four of those charges as well as two charges of breaching court orders relating to release conditions, court documents said.

Ram appeared before Vancouver provincial court Judge Jennifer Oulton Jan. 19. A sentencing date may be set Jan. 27.

Ram has pleaded guilty to:

  • exposing himself in a UBC washroom on April 21, 2022;
  • masturbating in front of others in Vancouver’s Foster Park on April 17, 2022;
  • committing an indecent act at Langara College March 27, 2022; and,
  • masturbating on a SkyTrain in Surrey on Oct. 19, 2021.

He was also charged following incidents on SkyTrain in Richmond, New Westminster and Surrey.

Also on SkyTrain, it was alleged Ram masturbated in public on April 18, 2022.

There was a further allegation that Ram masturbated in public on a SkyTrain in New Westminster on April 26, 2022, and in a Surrey gym on Feb. 12, 2019.

Ram was arraigned in November.

In April 2022, police sought the public's help to find a suspect in three flashing incidents at Langara, noting the same man was suspected in the incidents on March 20, March 27 and April 19.

Police released an image of the suspect in their public appeal for assistance.
