The seven-day Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes uncertainty, but a change to rainy, cooler conditions is expected on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

The Metro Vancouver seven-day weather forecast includes a significant shift in conditions, with cooler temperatures and showers expected.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Lisa Erven tells V.I.A. the heat advisory ended for the Lower Mainland on Wednesday, June 11, but temperatures remain slightly elevated.

A system is expected to bring cooler, wetter conditions on Thursday.

"An upper-level trough moving through southern B.C. is generating cloud cover, and there will be a 30 per cent chance of showers on Thursday," she explains.

Temperatures are also expected to drop back down to seasonal on Thursday, with a high of 19 C and a low of 11 C expected.

Moving into Friday, some lingering cloud cover should remain, although showers aren't expected.

Moving into the weekend, daytime temperatures are expected to increase a few degrees above seasonal, rising to the low 20s further inland, Erven notes.

Long-range Metro Vancouver weather forecast "uncertain"

"The long-range forecast comes with a lot of uncertainty," she explains.

Environment Canada is monitoring an upper low moving through the province. Depending on where it wobbles, it could cause cooler, wetter weather next week.

"I use the word wobbles because they tend to drift in the atmosphere," she adds. "If it slumps southwards, we could see cooler conditions and showers."

Locals should stay tuned to the forecast for updates since there is "low confidence" in the cooler forecast.
