Scores of fans are sharing videos and photos on social media from the Madonna concert in Vancouver on Wednesday night (Feb. 21).
The Queen of Pop took fans at Rogers Arena on a trip down nostalgia lane with songs spanning decades, including chart-topping hits like "Material Girl," "Like a Prayer," "La Isla Bonita," "Like a Virgin," "Vogue," "Papa Don't Preach," and many others.
Madonna's Vancouver show was delayed over six months due to a “serious bacterial infection” that led to hospitalization in an intensive care unit for several days back in June, according to her manager.
Madonna rescheduled the North American leg of her Celebration Tour, originally slated to kick off July 15, 2023, in Vancouver and run through Oct. 8 in Las Vegas.
The 64-year-old rocked an array of eye-catching outfits throughout her show, including changing hairstyles and flashy makeup. One of her looks included a tight-fitting, shiny bodysuit, while another featured a cowboy hat and fringed jacket. A glamorous ensemble included a long, flowing black gown with wizard-wide sleeves, a silver, halo headpiece, a large jewel on her forehead, and long decorative ribbons hanging from her wrists.
Numerous dancers accompanied her on stage and many impressive, colourful sets included hydraulics, smoke, a large screen depicting various scenes and motifs, lasers, and more.
As expected, the superstar took the stage quite late in the evening, around 10 p.m.
Pamela Anderson surprises Vancouver fans at Madonna's show
A highlight of the show was an appearance from B.C. native Pamela Anderson, who appeared as the guest "Vogue" judge for the runway show during the concert.
The crowd went wild when the Ladysmith-born beauty appeared on the stage.
The Celebration Tour will continue through several U.S. cities before making its way to Mexico. Madonna will play an impressive four shows in the Mexican capital before wrapping up on April 26.
