Customers at this second-last market of the season were treated to an abundance of garden greens, fruits, and vegetables - including grapes, apples, plums, cucumbers, squash, onions, strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, kale, peppers - and all of it grown locally. The Bowen Agricultural Alliance says that the size of the market has doubled since it began two years ago, and that the idea of monthly farmer's markets on Bowen have finally caught on.
