Bowen artist Alan Blair is a self-taught painter whose subjects vary from seascapes, landscapes, still life and commissioned portraits of people and animals. Next week he's part of a new exhibit at the Ferry Building Gallery in West Vancouver called Objective Reality. It runs from September 27 to October 16 with an opening reception on Tues., Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. and artists in attendance on Sat., Oct. 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. Blair participates in the Bowen Island Arts Council's Gifted show and has contributed a painting annually for auction to raise funds for the Arts Council.
