Bowen Island Nature Dive 2017

Up close and personal with life in Howe Sound

Ten divers from the Marine Life Sanctuaries Society and the Underwater Council of BC came to Bowen on Saturday to bring up life from the depths, allowing children and adults alike to get a close-up look and learn about the creatures. Out of the ten divers, four have island connections: Adam Taylor, Amber Spitkowski, Larry Morse and Marco Coda. The rest are from Vancouver and are photographers, marine biology grad students, and dive instructors who participate in many of our conservation projects. In total we had 17 volunteers who came from as far way as Fort Langley to help out. They all had a great time sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm and commented on how engaged the crowd was.
