Bowen Rotary publishes island trail guide

When Hilary Butler took on the role of Project Director with Bowen Island’s Rotary Club this year, she decided to follow her pleasure (walking) and make our island’s walks more accessible.
TRAILGUIDE
First Credit Union manager Kevin Manning hands Hilary Butler a cheque for $300, and Rob Wall holds up the Bowen Island Trails Guide.

When Hilary Butler took on the role of Project Director with Bowen Island’s Rotary Club this year, she decided to follow her pleasure (walking) and make our island’s walks more accessible.

With the help of Rob Wall, who has a background in graphics and produces a map of Bowen annually, the BIM GPS tracking device (and Robert Ballantyne’s ability to use it) the guide provides 11 different maps.

Thanks to John Dowler and John Reid, the maps are also available online at bowentrails.ca.

Hard copies are available at the Visitors Information Centre, a donation of a few dollars is suggested for each copy.
