On Monday, Rob Bell-Irving, the Community Advisor with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, brought 100,000 eyed chum salmon eggs to the Bowen Island Hatchery. These eggs will have developed into fry by sometime in March, and will likely be released into the Lagoon in April and May. They will have left for ocean within three days.
