A memorial for Claus Spiekermann is planned for Sat., Sept. 26, at BICS at 1pm in the Community Use Room.
Claus passed away in Kamloops on August 6. He and his late wife, Lorraine, have left a lasting legacy on Bowen. Claus was the founder of the Community School Association, a school trustee, Islands Trustee and was instrumental in creating the present school. Lorraine served as school secretary for a while and was the cofounder with Anne Woodrow of “All Around The House”.
Those, who remember the Spiekermanns, and anyone, who would like to hear more about this couple, so dedicated to Bowen, is invited to come to the memorial.
