The Squamish River Watershed Society and the Bowen Island Fish and Wildlife Club will be conducting a Howe Sound Juvenile Chinook Salmon Study on Thursday, Aug. 25 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Pebbly Beach in Deep Bay.

Douglas Swanston of Seacology, North Vancouver, will bring over his boat and seine net. A seine net will be placed off the beach and everything caught in the net will be identified.

Participants will get a hands-on opportunity to see fish, insects and crustaceans living off Bowen shores.

Please note that children are welcome and encouraged to bring their parents along.
