On Saturday, Oct. 15, Amanda Suutari will start a workshop series that focuses on making crafts from recycled/salvaged materials such as magazines, plastic bags and more. Eco-crafty Saturdays will kick off with a workshop on making beautiful paper beads on October 15, 1 to 3 p.m. You can 'upcycle' your junk mail and old magazines to make gorgeous colourful beads. The following Saturdays, Suutari will demonstrate how to crochet with plastic bags and alter clothing. Contact Amanda at [email protected] or at 0533 to register.
