Amazing images from 12 Bowen Island Photography Club members are on display now at the Gallery at Artisan Square. The exhibition runs until Nov. 20 and gallery hours are Thursday to Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The Bowen Island Photography Club has been in operation for two years. Monthly meetings and photo outings are fun and informative and include all ages and skills, from novice to experienced photographers.
The exhibition has provided a goal for the photographers to work towards over the year and has promoted community comradeship in both taking of the photos and in organizing their presentation.
The exhibition will display each photographer’s image in themes such as wildlife, landscape, street photography, ocean scenes, travel experiences and portraiture.
As well as displaying some of our members’ finest work, we will be attempting to promote interest and new membership into the photography club. The club is a means of getting photographers together for meetings, presentations, competitions and field trips. We also encourage members to have fun and share experiences. The club’s motto is to “shoot, share, evaluate, learn and have fun.”
We want to ensure that the community is aware that the club exists and we are encouraging all those who like to express themselves through a photography medium to come out and join us. Membership forms will be available throughout the show and contact information is available at
