Bowen Island Scouts enjoyed apple-picking at John and Josephine Riley’s orchard last week. They also prepared apples for dehydrating and fruit leather as it relates to the book Little House in the Big Woods, as the main characters are preparing food to keep for winter. They also delivered two hampers of fresh apples to the Bowen Island Food Bank. The Bowen Scouts are looking for new leaders. Any adults who enjoy children and outdoor activities are eligible.
