West Vancouver Schools Bowen Children’s Fair 2024: Get ready and set for free, family fun!
Games, music, activities, snacks, resource tables, and a chance to connect and socialize with local families are some of the highlights of the annual Family Fair. Families with children from Birth to 5, as well as siblings and caregivers, are invited to the Children’s Fair Day at Bowen Island Community School in the gym on Sunday June 9, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. This year, the theme is Kindness, which is something we can all be when we get together.
The Family Fair event is hosted by West Vancouver Schools and is supported by staff, volunteers and local community partners including representatives of local childcare. This event is made possible thanks to financial support from the province of BC through the Ministry of Education and Childcare.
Family-favourite kid’s musician ‘Music with Marnie’ is our featured performer for this event. Marnie’s music inspires children to get moving! Prior to her success as a Children’s Musician, Marnie was an Early Childhood Educator. These days Marnie is described as one of the ‘Best Performers of her generation,’ by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival.
Families are invited to dance, sing along, snack and play, as well as to visit the game and activity stations. Representatives from various community partner organizations such as Bowen Island Community Recreation, Bowen Island Children’s Centre, the Bowen Island Health Centre, Bowen Island Public Library, and more, will be sharing program and resource materials for families as well as helping with the interactive game stations.
