Poetry lovers in New Westminster are in for an extra treat at the next Poetic Justice reading session.

The April 10 event is “PJ with the PoLo’s” – for Poetic Justice with the Poets Laureate.

The session will feature three of New Westminster’s poets laureate: Elliott Slinn, who has held the post since August 2021; Alan Hill, poet laureate from 2017 to 2020; and Candice James, poet laureate emerita, who served from 2010 to 2016.

You’re also invited to take part by reading one of your favourite poems for National Poetry Month, or sharing your own work, in the open mic portion of the session.

The Poetic Justice event is set for Sunday, April 10 from 3 to 5 p.m., and it will take place online.
