Meet the Cove's newest business owner

Jay Peachy says he’s happy to be working side by side with Gino and Victoria Rutigliano as he takes over their retail spaces on Dorman Road.

“I’ve already taken over the u-brew and Victoria is teaching me how to make wine,” says Peachy.

He says that he wants to expand beyond wine and include the creation of non-alcoholic fermented drinks, such as kombucha, in the space.
Peachy plans to take over the coffee shop on September 1.

“Gino and I are working together,” he says. “He plays bass, I play drums. He roasts coffee, I’m the serial barista. And I will continue to sell Gino’s coffee for all his regulars, alongside the award winning Spirit Bear Beans.”

Peachy adds that he intends for the space to be more than a coffee shop.

“It will have a creative focus as opposed to a focus on coffee. It will be a gallery, cafe and brew bar, and when coffee hours are over,
