Cambie Bridge to be closed yet again for a Vancouver film production

It'll happen again Friday night, April 26.

The Cambie Street Bridge will be closed for a film production.

Again.

The bridge has been closed several times this spring, and it'll happen again Friday night, April 26. From 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning (Saturday, April 27) the bridge will be shut down, according to notices posted around the bridge.

"Mocne Productions Ltd. is filming driving sequences on the Cambie Street Bridge (from 7th Ave to Beatty St)," states the notice.

It'll involve traffic, motorcycles and wet down trucks keeping the road surface damp. There will also be a drone in use.

Roads around the southern edge of the bridge will also be affected as the production crew is in the area with no stopping areas and parking blocked off in some areas. The VPD will be on hand to guide traffic.

Mocne is in Vancouver shooting the third film in the Tron series, Tron: Ares. The movie stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj and others. The first film in the series was iconic in 1982; it took decades until a sequel came out (which was shot in Vancouver and featured the Cambie Street Bridge).
