Lynn Hartle and Shelagh MacKinnon worry that the "beautification" of land on the North West corner of Bowen Island Trunk Road and Miller Road will leave community groups without a place to advertise their events.

Owned by Telus, the legion had a lease on this land until a few years ago.

The Museum & Archives has plans to beautify and also to create community engagement space on its land along Trunk Road, and the development of  a trail through the Telus land to connect to Senior’s Lane is being discussed. Rob Forbes, with the Museum & Archives, says they are working on a design that will get final approval from Telus.

“Of course we are open to feedback from the community, but the decision rests on Telus,” says Forbes.
