British Columbians can expect a small breather tomorrow from gas prices that break the bank.
The province saw prices level off after July 15 at 199.9 cents per litre with a small spike from the 20th to the 21st. However, prices have now dropped to an average of 198.9 with July 23rd set at 193.9, according to price prediction site Gas Wizard.
Prices for diesel have remained the same from July 15, at 244.9, but can also expect a dip in price July 23 with 242.9 predicted.
Despite the dip in prices, B.C. is still seeing gas prices far higher than other provinces.
What Metro Vancouver stations have the cheapest gas?
Residents in the Greater Vancouver Regional District can expect an average price of 201.769 cents per litre. Most gas stations located throughout the city show price points at 194.9 to 199.9.
For those looking for a break from those prices, Fox Fuel at 5894 Marine Dr. in Burnaby shows current prices at 191.6 for regular, according to a heat map from GasBuddy.com.
Anyone looking to stay within Vancouver’s city limits can find some relief at Super Save, located at 1317 E 12th Ave., with prices listed at 192.9 for regular.
Metro Vancouverties looking for even better deals on gas can take advice from South Surrey and White Rock residents who frequently cross the border to indulge in U.S. prices.
GasBuddy.com heat maps currently show prices in Blaine at 167.91 cents per litre or $4.99 per U.S. gallon. For those in the Tsawwassen area, the best prices can be found in Point Roberts with 164.21 cents per litre or $4.88 per U.S. gallon, the lowest in the region.
