There were no injuries Tuesday morning after one of Bowen's public buses ended up in the ditch beside Adams Road.

The incident happened around 5:40 a.m.

No passengers were on the bus when, in the fog, the driver missed the turnoff for Bowen Bay Road and ended up in the ditch, says spokesperson for TransLink Chris Bryan.

The driver, uninjured, caught a ride to where the other Bowen bus is kept and continued on with his routes, says Bryan.

The bus involved in the accident has since been towed off-island for repairs.
