Have you ever called the police, fire or ambulance and expected them to show up right away and they didn't? Were you waiting for someone to show up to help you in an emergency and had to call back to see where your rescuers were? We sometimes have trouble finding homes when we're called to assist as many don't have addresses posted.
Having your address on your driveway and/or at the front of your home may mean the difference between life and death if you need emergency services. The extra five minutes we spend looking for your home, if you don't have your numbers clearly posted, may be critical to your safety. The Bowen Island Municipality requires that your address be posted at the end of your driveway, or on your home.
Police, fire and ambulance services are here to assist when you need us most - help us by posting your address on your driveway so we can arrive quickly.
