The members of the Bowen Community Centre Action Committee invite the public to come out and help with landscape cleanup on Sunday, October 16, from 12 - 4 p.m at the lands allocated for the community centre (bordered by Government Road, Seniors Lane, BICS and Bowen Court to the north.) As part of the site recognition project, they will improve the pathway to the site and the bluff viewpoint area. A bench has been generous donated by an island family. And a sign will proclaim that this is the "home of the future community centre."
The committee would welcome any assistance and asks that helpers bring things like clippers,shovels, loppers or wheelbarrows.
