Police renew efforts in missing teen case

Over the course of the next few weeks and months residents from the Bowen Island Community can expect to see investigators from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team on the island making additional inquiries in the disappearance of Squamish teen Jodi Henrickson.
Last December the investigation was transferred to IHIT from the Sea to Sky Regional Police Service Serious Crime Section. .
Jodi’s disappearance in June 2009 is considered suspicious and foul play is suspected.
February 23, 2011 was Jodi’s 19th birthday. Investigators felt that this date was an appropriate time to reach out to those that may have information regarding Jodi’s disappearance in hopes that they will now come forward to aid the investigation.
“This is a young woman, a daughter, friend, now missing far too long. Imagine if Jodi was your loved one, what would you want those with information to do,” asks Staff Sergeant Guy Pollack with the Sea to Sky RCMP.
