After working on the Queen of Capilano for 21 years, and with BC ferries since 1981, Lynn Wakelin is heading into retirement.
Wakelin says she started her job on the Queen of Cap after ending materinity leave with her daughter, who is now 22.
"I used to bring her to work with me sometimes," she says. "It was fun."
Wakelin says she is looking into a move to Nelson, BC, to be closer to her daughter.
"It is a lot like the coast," she says.
Her last shift is on December 29.
