We all love the Knick Knack Nook as a great place to discover wonderful finds and help keep items with lots of use left in them out of the land fill. In turn the revenue from the sales, with the help of The Bowen Community Foundation, provides much needed support for countless Bowen Island organizations and groups. But the Knick Knack Nook Re-Use It Store Society also has a larger purpose – to foster leadership in environmental sustainability through both action and education. To that end, a total of $20,000 in scholarships will be awarded in 2017 to individuals with strong ties to Bowen who are pursuing academic studies in support of advancing environmental sustainability.
