Farmers market

The Coquitlam Farmers Market is back in the parking lot of Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grab your fabric grocery bags, shop for local produce and chat with the vendors.

Hike for Hospice

Lace up your runners to take part in the annual Hike for Hospice in support of the Tri-Cities’ only hospice centre: Crossroads. The society hopes to raise $50,000 from the event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon from Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.).

Dogwood Drama

The Dogwood Drama Club presents a program of four plays for its spring production at the 50+ Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam): The Committee, At Halftime, Doctor, Doctor and Autumn Drive. The show is at 1:30 p.m. in the Mike Butler Room. Tickets at $10 (cash) can be bought at the door or at the Dogwood Designs gift shop.

May Days opens

Take a see in the Jon Baillie Arena at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) for the opening ceremonies of the 101st May Days festival. The event from 3 to 5 p.m. includes the 2024 May Day Royal Party, maypole dancing and entertainment.

Hindustani music

Catch New Yorker Josh Feinberg at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) for South Asian classical music show at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $37/$34/$16.
