Another man has been arrested and charges are now sworn in last month’s truck-powered smash and grab in Horseshoe Bay.
In the early morning of April 5, West Vancouver police received reports of suspects driving a Dodge Ram through the storefront of The Bay’s Convenience on the 6600 block of Royal Avenue.
The truck became stuck and the suspects fled on foot, empty handed.
The RCMP’s canine unit tracked down and arrested one suspect that night but two others got away.
The man arrested that night, a 38-year-old Richmond resident, Abray Isaac, is now facing charges of breaking and entering, dangerous operation of a conveyance, theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
Since then, a second Richmond man has been arrested by the West Vancouver Police Department’s major investigations team. Sean Hudson, 34, was arrested on April 28 and the Crown has now sworn charges of breaking and entering, and possession of break-in tools.
“We are pleased that a second suspect has been identified and charged, and we are making attempts to identify the third suspect,” said Const. Kevin Goodmurphy, West Vancouver police spokesman.
