The Vancouver Aquarium otter cam is back after over half a year of being offline for upgrades.

One of the cutest webcams on the internet is back.

The Vancouver Aquarium is broadcasting live footage again of their otter habitats now, featuring the likes of Quatse, Joey, and Rilato. It restarted May 25.

There are actually two cameras, sharing real-time video of the aquarium's eight otters.

"Our top priority was to provide a free, accessible live stream that aligns with our current needs and brings fans the otter content they have come to love," states the aquarium online.

The webcam has been an on-and-off project since 2010. It's been off since November 2022 due to security and technology changes that were necessary.

Streaming the action inside the habitat is a long-term project, a spokesperson tells V.I.A., but some interruptions will be coming up.

"Please note that for the next few days only, our otter cams will be offline from 5 p.m to 9 a.m daily," says the aquarium on social media. "Our otters will be moved off display during the evenings due to construction in the Wild Coast exhibit. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, the welfare of our animals is our first priority."
