The Bowen Island RCMP responded to 47 calls for service in March of 2020:
- 1 of those files was an impaired operation of a vessel investigation;
- 10 of those files were traffic related incidents;
- 2 of those files were fraud reports;
- 6 of those files were reports of threats directed towards people or property;
- 3 of those file were landlord/tenant issues.
The Bowen Island RCMP would like to acknowledge all the local businesses that have provided assistance and service during this very trying time. The Copper Spirit Distillery, the Snug Cove General Store, the Ruddy Potato, the Bowen Island Pub, Cates Pharmacy, Canada Post, Artisan Express Courier and innumerable others have taken it upon themselves to find creative ways to provide services to the community. Those services have been invaluable, and have allowed people to stay safe and properly isolate.
