Updated: Monday morning ferry sailings go ahead after Sunday eve cancellations

Updated: the winds died down overnight adn all morning sailings from Horseshoe Bay went ahead as usual. 

BC Ferries has advised that the rest of the Bowen Queen sailings for the evening have been cancelled:

  • 6:15 p.m. departing Snug Cove
  • 6:50 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay
  • 7:25 p.m. departing Snug Cove
  • 8 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay
  • 8:30 p.m. departing Snug Cove
  • 9:00 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay
  • 9:30 p.m. departing Snug Cove
  • 10 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay

Correction: earlier versions of this story said that the rest of the Sunday evening sailings were cancelled. The 10:30 p.m. sailing from Bowen went ahead as the Bowen Queen had been holding in dock at Bowen.
