Provincial police say a limousine driver is facing charges after his passengers suspected he was driving while impaired and forced him to pull over on the side of the highway.
Police say they responded to the scene on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Hamilton just before 11 p.m. on Friday.
They say one of the 10 passengers in the limo reported they had forced the driver to pull over onto the highway shoulder because they believed he was impaired, and the passengers took away the keys to the vehicle.
Police say a driver of a separate vehicle had also called in a report of a limousine driving erratically.
They say the limo driver was arrested at the scene, and there were no injuries.
Police say a 64-year-old Toronto man has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, among other offences.
