Dear Editor,
We are writing on behalf of Bowen Island Montessori School (BIMS) to express our deep gratitude for the phenomenal turn out to the Cinco de Mayo fundraiser party. Artisan Eats was the perfect place to smash a piñata and enjoy delicious food washed down with fun in a glass. Mr. Taco (AKA Dale Hewitt) the live auctioneer, went above and beyond. The winning combination of Mr. Taco’s charisma and incredibly generous island auction donations enabled BIMS to raise more than $5,000!! This goes a long way for a little preschool and allows doors to remain open and bursaries available to any family in need, no questions asked.
Perhaps the most heartening aspect of the evening was having folks from all walks of Bowen attend. We have a magical community and we are very proud to be a part of it. Thank-You.
