Health Centre looking for input from Indigenous residents
The Eagle Song Dancers doing the land blessing for the health centre
Bob Baker (S7aplek) and the Eagle Song Dancers of the Squamish Nation do the land blessing for the new Bowen Island Health Centre, Sept. 28, 2021.

Dear Editor,

The Bowen Island (Nexwlélexwm) Health Centre is working to create culturally diverse and inclusive health services that meet the needs of all Bowen residents.

As part of its commitment to meet community health needs, the BIHC Foundation would like to seek guidance from Bowen Residents who identify as Indigenous to understand community health needs of the Bowen Island Indigenous community and learn about specific health needs and preferences the community may have.

The on-island session will take place with light refreshments and acknowledgement of time provided. No personal or identifiable information will be collected.

We are asking Bowen Island residents who self-identify as Indigenous, inclusive of First Nations, Métis, or Inuit, and are interested in participating, or know of residents to whom we should reach out, to please contact Suzanne by June 10, 2022.

Suzanne can be contacted at [email protected] or by calling 778-990-4636.

Sincerely,

- Suzanne Saatchi
