Dear Editor,
The Bowen Island Arts Council is delighted to be the host arts council for the 35th annual ArtsBC Conference and Annual General Meeting to be held at the Bowen Lodge by the Sea and at the Gallery at Artisan Square from May 2 to 4. We are welcoming presenters and attendees from all over British Columbia to meet and mingle and talk about the arts on our beautiful island.
BIAC is so pleased to have the opportunity to host this wonderful gathering of arts-minded folks. We are very proud of our vibrant arts community here on Bowen Island. An amazing number of artists, writers, musicians, and artisans have made the island their home and continuously enrich our daily lives with their contributions. Sometimes we joke that there must be something in the water here that brings out the creativity of so many islanders.
We are particularly eager to exchange ideas and talk about the challenges and opportunities in the arts with our colleagues from all over British Columbia. Such connections with like-minded individuals are always so very inspiring.
