The municipality's chief election officer, Kathy Lalonde, has launched the Local Government Election information webpages on the BIM website, www.bimbc.ca.

Click on the "Municipal Hall" drop-down menu on the home page and scroll down to "Government Elections".

Details are provided regarding the local government elections on Saturday, November 19 including information on:

Resident electors

Non-resident property electors

Mail ballot voting, candidate

Frequently_asked questions for voters/candidates.

The process for the election is as follows:

Tuesday, October 4: Nomination period begins at 9 a.m.

Friday, October 14 at 4 p.m.: Nomination period ends

Friday, October 21 at 4 p.m.: Deadline for withdrawal of candidates

Monday, October 24: Declaration of candidates

Wednesday, November 9: Advance voting day

Saturday, November 19: Election day
