Environment Canada is warning people in Metro Vancouver and surroundings to stay hydrated and stay cool.

Get out your water bottles and parasols, the season's first heat wave is here. 

Environment Canada is warning people in the lower mainland region to stay hydrated and cool as temperatures are expected to hit the low thirties over the next few days. 

The predicted highs are about 12-14 degrees warmer than average for mid-June. 

Cooling should begin Thursday says Environment Canada.
