Weston's campaign declares victory

Even though only one-third of the polls have been counted, Conservative candidate John Weston's campaign manager has declared victory.

Even though only one-third of the polls have been counted, Conservative candidate John Weston's campaign manager has declared victory.

David Bromley made the call based on the numbers flashing across the television screen at campaign headquarters on Marine Drive in Dundarave and "what we've got inside."

"All our good polls are about to come in," Bromley told the Outlook at 9 p.m..

He's not surprised that that NDP Terry Platt came in second. "She lives in the riding and that's important," he says. "Terry's a good person."

This is Weston's second win in the West Van-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country riding.
