Dear Editor, I am writing to offer my support for Carolyn Broady in the upcoming West Vancouver School District election.

Dear Editor, As I ready to head to warmer climes I, first wish to thank all of the candidates for taking that HUGE step in putting your names forth to represent Bowen at the Municipal Council table.

Dear Editor, A group of boaters asked the municipality to provide an access to water using the existing boat ramp at Tunstall Bay. The repair/improvement would be minimal and was initially approved but here is how Bowen Island works (or does not).

Dear Editor, I want to say thank you to everyone for helping me with my fund-raiser for the Burn Fund’s new building. I’ve now doubled my original goal which was $3000, more than doubled it and made $ $6133.

Dear Editor and Community, Moderating the All Candidates Meeting on November 3rd was a real honour for me. The job of moderator is all glory. I don’t need to make any controversial statements and everyone is so appreciative.

One of the benefits of a municipal election is that it encourages us to question who we are as a community and what we want for the future of our island.

Dear Editor, Elections are important. Since becoming a municipality we have been challenged to elect a balanced and functional Council that can direct staff to effectively utilize our limited municipal resources.

To the Editor, On the other hand, some of us see Murray as a kind of referee out there calling offsides, often right, sometimes wrong, but always trying the keep the game fair.

Dear Editor, I am very happy to see such a long list of islanders eager to stand for our next council. Bowen has many energetic, talented people with much to contribute.
