Rosie Montgomery says she promised her kids that this year that she would cut back on the number of new lambs they’d raise at Endswell Farm. So far, that looks like 19 lambs with four ewes (potentially) left to give birth.

Just over a year ago CAWES (Coast Animal Welfare & Education Society) conducted a survey with the help of some IPS students that focused on the health and welfare of Bowen Island’s companion animals and wildlife.

This week, students in the Outside 45 program spent three days with Delmar Williams, an instructor on earth-based survival skills from the Squamish and Lil’wat Nation. Williams taught fire-building and carving techniques to students.
