The Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is open for business! Staff is on hand at the Boulevard Cottage in Snug Cove seven days per week, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, to meet and greet tourists and other visitors.

On Thursday May 21st at 6:30pm The Rotary Club of Bowen Island will be hosting an Indian curry dinner evening at Collins Hall, 1120 Miller Road, in aid of the world-wide campaign for the eradication of polio. Donations of $20.

An island confrontation of epic proportions is only a week away. Those lucky enough to be there, in front of the library on Saturday May 16th, will witness the dramatic meeting of the spirits of winter and summer, the Ice Queen and the Green Man.

Over the next several months, the Economic Development Committee (EDC) will be hosting a series of two-hour interactive discussions with business owners to identify what makes them successful.

In the late 1970s, a group of Chamber members, led by Laurie Lock and Bill Riddell, came up with the idea of recognizing islanders who have contributed a great deal of volunteer service to the community.

On April 30th, a crowd of more than 100 people gathered at Rivendell for the Donor Appreciation Reception and Annual General Meeting of the Bowen Island Community Foundation (BICF).

On Saturday April 25th at the Whistler Fairmont Chateau, the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects presented Holly Graff with the 2015 BCSLA Community Service Award.

The Bowen Island Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale and Raffle will take place on Saturday, May 9. The Plant Sale and Raffle is the Club’s annual fundraiser.
