A big thank you to all those Bowen Islanders who made Friday's Robbie Burns dinner at the Legion a big success. It was sea of plaid and smiles as we all paid tribute to Scotland's national poet. Robbie Burns holds great meaning to me.

Next Wednesday evening Ted Spear and Jennifer Henrichsen will give a talk at the Youth Centre on the changing nature of education. Spear holds Ph.D. in philosophy of education and is the Head of School at Island Pacific School.
