Two years ago the Knick Knack Nook and the Snug Cove House Society ran a fabulous fund raising event, the proceeds of which went to Snug Cove House.

The Knick Knack Nook has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to Bowen Island students pursuing degrees in environmental sustainability.

Some things make up for the end of summer ... like getting back in the groove. And who has a better groove to fall in to than the BOWEN ISLAND COMMUNITY CHOIR! Registration has started for the the 2014 Fall Season.

While the idea for a medical clinic took root in the Caring Circle almost two years ago, the decision was taken this year to let it grow in its own part of the garden.

Eryn Jackson and Brenna Rosen are running a Wild Child Girls overnight camp for girls to gain confidence by getting outdoors, getting dirty and having fun! We’re meeting at Tunstall Bay Beach at 3:30 pm to have a guided kayak ride from Tunstall Beach

There’s the September smell of pencil shavings in the air, and for community groups seeking funding for good ideas that will have a positive impact on our community, it’s time to start sharpening.

On Thursday, September 18, from 6:30-9 p.m., the historic Lodge at the Old Dorm (460 Melmore Rd) will host the much-anticipated 1st Annual Bowen Island International Wine Festival.
