A friend of the island is gone, but not forgotten

My wife, Joan McNeill, one of the most avid lovers of Bowen Island, passed away on September 22, 2011, at our home at the end of Mt. Gardner Road. Joan first visited my family on Bowen in 1976, the year before we were married.

Connecting communities

Goodbyes are so bittersweet. Three years of my family living in Ghana are coming to a close. I'm so excited to be returning to Bowen but my home has been here in Ghana. This community, these people and their friendship have made a huge impact on me.
