Dear Editor: In my work one of the joys is when we manage to put together a deal where we can place a family in to a home that they own for the first time.

Dear Editor: As a long-time resident of Bowen Island, I am writing this letter in support of the proposed Bowen Island Community Centre initiative.

Dear Editor: On Sept. 12 we’re being asked to vote about raising property taxes to pay for the new community centre. It’s critical that you show up.

Dear Editor: Bowen Islanders, this is your chance to bring home a community centre to our island.

July 2021 - My wife and I just moved to Bowen Island. We’re hoping to start a family in this more rural lifestyle that’s still close to the culture of the big city.

Dear Editor: Since moving to Bowen 22 years ago I’ve seen the need for a community center. I’ve attended various events over the years and often felt they would be so much more enjoyable if they were in an appropriate setting.

Dear Editor: This June marks my 27th year living on Bowen Island and I know the drive to build a community centre had historical precedent even then.

Dear Editor: Community centre plan pros: It would bring to fruition a long desired facility. The first serious design came forward in 1992 (Don Nicolson) at 14,000 sq feet and $4.8 million.

Dear Editor: Bowen Island is on the edge of achieving great things, things that the community has wanted and needed for decades.

Dear Editor, Could anyone on Bowen Island still have any doubt regarding the Community Center Project Bylaw No 477, 2019 and not vote “yes” in the next referendum? It is the achievement of more than 30 years of community vision and effort to own a ce
