Dear Editor, John Sbragia (June 5) believes that the implementation of the OCP would “avoid polarization” within the Bowen community. In this, he appears to be supported by Dave Witty (June 12). I disagree with Messrs Sbragia and Witty.

25 years ago in the Undercurrent Laura Cochrane uncovered a 30 year old Vancouver Sun article written by Mac Reynolds which bemoaned the downfall of the great resort island of Bowen. Gone were the days of Black Ball’s Bainbridge ferry being full.

Dear Editor, I am compelled to write one last time to the Undercurrent to provide a professional planner’s perspective on the docks at Cape Roger.

Dear Editor, Recently Council voted 4-3 to put the Docks Bylaw into effect, which bans docks at Cape Roger Curtis. At the public hearing we heard there could be dialogue about docks between the owners at the Cape and the community – before the vote.
